“Tra, o sulle cose in mezzo” focuses on the moment of transition from one place to another and on the organic unfolding of actions and details that define and compose a migration towards a new location, which will in turn become a transition.
The dancer, amalgamated in an ecosystem of body and wood, becomes one with the place crossed and the elements that accompany the journey, vernacular architecture in perpetual mutation.
A sense of belonging becomes part of the investigation, and a question mark is raised over the role of man in inhabiting and traversing the world. How to take care of the forms that host us, and what value to give to the traces – sometimes momentary, sometimes permanent – that we leave in our passage.
What does it mean to migrate and find new places to call home?
What does it mean to occupy space, empty, in a purely transitional way?
Can I make myself a home, become part of the landscape that hosts and shapes me?
