Show for children, youths, and adults
The show is inspired by the Danish fable The Ugly Duckling by Hans Christian Andersen, who helps us to explore the concept of diversity and acceptance of ourselves and others, by overcoming our fears and vulnerabilities, and understanding the value of each human being regardless of the unfortunate context surrounding them. He tells us of the migration and journey that are forced upon those who are marginalised and persecuted and decide to try and find their place in the world.
The fable helps us realize that being different may be an asset, and that, through a transformation process, may lead us to the fulfilment of our beautiful and original nature.
The escape and wandering of the ugly duckling are examples of its courage for not giving up on the quest for its true self, identity, and place in the world.
