We arrive in the world and, day after day, begin to build a mesh of actions, gestures, habits that accompany us throughout our lives. We proceed on an orbit traveled for centuries with the same inertia as those who have gone before us. In daily hypnosis it may happen to catch a threshold, to catch a glimpse of the glimmer of another world that invites us to change course, to leave the path already traced to discover what our space and time are on this Earth. It is all about welcoming the unknown and letting go. Abandoning the body to the vertigo of a new balance. SMAGLIATURE carries with it the traces of a human body’s change. Only the unraveling of a passive and repetitive condition can bring one to the present. Here, now, we can return to write our history, to give voice to our thoughts. The injured links of skin remind us every day how easy it is to give in to hypnosis and how many new bodies we can inhabit. SMAGLIATURE is a dance solo in which movement, projections, light and sound dialogue in a dynamic crescendo. Blue, light and darkness envelop the body in an imaginative and suspended atmosphere, finally breath, voice and steps bring us back to a state of reality.
